ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

For UG: – candidate must passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with physics, chemistry, biology and a certificate of urdu of tenth class standard or any equivalent urdu exam approved by CCIM

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR UG: – Through NEET [National Eligibility cum Entrance Test]

DURATION OF :-   main graduation course is 4and1/2 years ,which is divided in

A- 1st professional -12 months

B- 2nd professional -12 months

C- 3rd  professional -12 months

D- Final  professional -18 months

After successfully completion of these professional, students is posted for 12 months mandatory rotatory internship in different departments 

 

MINIMUM AGE FOR ADMISSION:

(a) 17 years on 1st October in the year of admission for admission to main Kamil-e-Tib-o-Jarahat (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) Course.

 

For PG: – A person holding degree of kamil –e- Tib -o- Jarahat [Bachelor of Unani medicine and surgery] or equivalent degree from a recognized university or institution included in the second scheduled of the Indian medicine central council act, 1970 and enrolled in the central or state register of Indian system of medicine shall be eligible or admission in PG degree courses.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS) course is a pass degree in Higher Secondary Examination or 10+2 in Science stream with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized college or university.
  • The students who have studied Urdu in class XII or having proficiency in Urdu language will be given preference in admission.
  • Just 35 medical colleges in India offer educational programs in Unani system.
  • Some institutions offer admission through state and national level entrance examination.
  • At the time of admission, the candidate should have attained a minimum age of 17 years.

The duration of the Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS) course is 5 ½ years, out of which 4 ½ year are academic session and 1 year being an internship program with live practice session.
